Electrical Safety Labels

Here at Label Bar, we are leading suppliers for a variety of labels, including health and safety, identification, and testing. We have over 10 years of industry experience, making us experts at providing the widest variety of labels that you could need. Today, we’re going to look at five different uses for electrical safety labels.

Voltage Labels

When working in areas with electrical equipment, it is necessary to take caution as there can be areas with high voltage. There may be a risk of electric shock, and so it is vital to signpost any potentially hazardous areas with the specific levels of voltage. Our range of voltage labels includes large quantity packs of different sizes that are flat packed in re-sealable polybags, which read at a range of voltage levels between 110 and 33,000 volts. The labels are self-adhesive and made from a non-rip matt polypropylene, and we also stock tuff tags made from a durable Polyplas, which is suitable for harsh environments.

Cable and Wiring Labels

You may need to use a caution sign to inform personnel about wiring colours that have two different versions of BS761. It is also possible for you to personalise some of these cable colour labels, with your company logo and contact details, either in black text or in full colour. When it comes to cables and wires, you can also warn about fibre optic cables, electrical data cables, as well as solar PV warning labels for DC cables. These can also come as cable wraps, and all are self-adhesive, non-rip, and come in large quantities.

Lockout Labels

Most of our electrical safety labels come in bright yellow for warning. However, our range of labels for lockout act as a reminder rather than a warning, and therefore come in a blue colour. These remind employees to secure equipment that may be a source of hazardous energy. This could be a way of reminding people to lockout electrical switches before working with equipment, ensuring all power sources are isolated and locked out, or perhaps necessary when disconnecting a piece of machinery doesn’t eliminate all the power. These simple signs can help to avoid accidents, injury, or fines for incorrect practice.

Do Not Touch Labels

In addition to our yellow and blue labels, we have red warning labels that connect to our range of lockout labels. These labels can simply state “Do not use!” or provide information for use during a lockout, instructing users not to touch a particular valve.

Other Warning Labels

There are a multitude of reasons why you may need to use a warning label, and we have the range to suit all your needs for electrical safety labels. Whether you want to label a fire alarm, to warn of solar PV on roofing for photovoltaic installations, to warn not to switch an appliance off, or to warn of a live connection, we will have the ideal set of labels and stickers for you.
