UN 3091 applies to lithium metal batteries that are packed with equipment or contained in equipment, rather than standalone lithium metal batteries, which are classified under UN 3090.

The 100mm x 75mm format offers a practical medium-sized option for packages where space is more limited. Under current IATA 2026 guidance, the lithium battery mark can be reduced to a minimum of 100mm x 70mm when the package size requires a smaller mark, meaning this 100mm x 75mm format can potentially be used where the applicable conditions are satisfied. Full-size 100mm x 100mm marking should be used where the package is large enough to accommodate it.

Ideal for businesses involved in electronics, electrical equipment, battery distribution, packaging, fulfilment and freight, particularly where lithium metal batteries are installed in or supplied alongside equipment.

PLEASE NOTE: The 100mm x 75mm format may be suitable for use as a reduced-size lithium battery mark where the package size requires a smaller mark and all applicable requirements are met.

Please check the current regulations applicable to your battery, packaging and method of transport before use. Where a package is large enough to accommodate the standard 100mm x 100mm mark, the full-size mark may be required.

How do I personalise the Label?

To add your print instructions to a personalised product, simply choose a colour (if applicable) and/or select a quantity. Then click 'Add Print Instructions', this will trigger the print instruction screen in which you can enter everything that you require us to print on to your labels.

Will I see how my Label will look before I order?

Our website will NOT show you a preview of how your label will look before you order. This is because our artwork team create your label from scratch using the information you provide with your order and manually adjust the layout to give the best finished design.

Do I get a Label Proof?

Proofs are not provided as default, this is to ensure that we are able to get orders processed on time and maintain our speed of service. If you would like to see a proof of your labels before we go to final print, this can be done upon request. Please ask for a proof in the 'Special Requests' box provided on the Print Instructions window. Requesting a proof may effect the lead time of your order.

What if I'm not 100% sure of something?

If you are not absolutely 100% certain of anything at all, please give us a quick call on 01325 525 675 before purchase. Our Sales Team can then help you make sure there are no oversights and communicate any specific requirements to the production team. We are here to help and make sure you get exactly what you want.

It is your responsibilty as a buyer, to inform us of all requirements in your print instructions, either before or at the time of order. No assumptions at all should be made.
